During this time of uncertainty with the Covid-19 outbreak, it is natural to feel anxious or lost.  You may feel this outbreak was sudden, but do you know that it was predicted nearly 2000 years ago?

In Matthew chapter 24 in the Bible, you will find a record of the time when Jesus (Yeshua) outlined the events that would happen towards the end of the world.  Matthew 24:7 warns: For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

Covid-19 is a pestilence (disease) that has taken the world by storm, but God knew that it would happen. In fact, God is always in control. Isaiah 41:10.

As we experience the events that were predicted, it is becoming clear that the end is soon to come, however many are still unprepared for this inevitable event.

The Bible says, “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God…” (2 Timothy 3:16).  The facts within the Bible have been tested by historians and have stood the test of time.  Another way that we can test the validity is through observing the fulfilment of the Bible’s predictions such as the events that are happening now.

If the Bible has been so accurate about the events that have happened throughout history, then it means that we can trust what is says about life after death.

The Bible says Jesus is God’s only son and He is the only one through whom all mankind can be saved.

John 3:16 states: For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 14:6 states: Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Jesus is the only one that we can go to God through if we want to have eternal life.  Sin has entered the world and we are under its power. No one can be set free from sin without Jesus.

Romans 3:23 states: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

If we have a right relationship with God’s Son Jesus today, we are acceptable to God who saves us by his Grace.  Salvation is God’s gift to all who call on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Can we receive Eternal Life just by believing in what we think is right?

No. No one can come to God except through Jesus Christ.

Acts 4:12 - Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Salvation is a gift from God. You can’t earn it, work for it or ever be good enough to receive it. It only comes through believing by Faith that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

If we ask God, He will forgive all our sins no matter what we have done.

1 John 1:9 says: If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

How to receive peace & forgiveness with God:

1.    Admit to God that you want to be free from sin’s death penalty

2.    Confess your sins to God, asking Him to forgive you for living without Him

3.    Believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead

4.    Receive by faith, ask Jesus to come into your heart to give you God’s free gift of salvation

The Sinner’s Prayer

Lord I admit that I need you and I confess my sin. Please forgive me for living without you. I believe your Son Jesus died on the cross for my sin. Please cleanse me now. I ask you to come into my heart and my life. Please be my Saviour from this day forward until you call me home. Amen.

The evidence of a new life in Christ will be peace in your heart, which will follow your confession of faith. You are now alive spiritually. You are now guaranteed eternal life in Heaven when you die if you continue to believe and trust God. Once you have taken these steps, it is necessary to read the Bible and pray to God daily, asking Him to show you how to live according to his plan.  Romans 12:2 -And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

If you decided to take these steps, then we would like to congratulate you.  You are at the beginning of an incredible journey with God.  It would be great to hear from you and to offer you support with your next steps. Email: activechristians@outlook.com
