We are Active Christians, the Ministry of Homeschool Social Enterprise (1146794).
The Ministry started in 2015 when we started to give food, clothing and pastoral support to rough sleepers in Birmingham. Since then, the Ministry has expanded to offer food to families and individuals in need.
On a typical outreach night, we serve anywhere between 15 and 70 rough sleepers on the streets.
We currently feed between 500 and 700 people per week through our food bank.
Since our records began from just one of our surplus food suppliers, it is estimated that we have:

Through the outreach we have also helped many people to transition to accommodation and have saved lives though offering timely medical assistance and suicide prevention on a number of occasions.
Since 2020 and the emergence of the cost of living crisis, we have seen a significant increase in demand for our food bank services. We have therefore had to increase our effort to meet demand.
As a result, our costs have increased and it has become increasingly difficult to pay the bills required to keep the service running.
We need to pay the costs of petrol, vehicle maintenance, charity utilities, stationary, website maintenance and supplies that we need to carry out our service.
Without these essential running costs covered, we simply cannot continue to provide our important service.
We are currently 100% crowdfunded and we appreciate the donations of anyone who can help to keep us going.
